The Turks and Caicos Islands, on any given day, offer wonderful opportunities to capture breath-taking shots of the natural environment. This was the case several years ago when I captured this shot in Leeward on the island of Providenciales.
Since I no longer am in possession of the raw camera image, I am unsure of the date it was captured, but my Flickr account proclaims that it was taken on April 4th, 2010.I know for sure that this date was just when I posted it online as I normally have to sort through hundreds of shots, marvel at them a bit, enhance them in photoshop, then show them off to the world.
I can safely say that the photo is roughly 4 years old, but what's the significance of all this? Well, to my surprise, pleasantly I might add, I was called by an Interior Decorating Company in Canada which expressed an interest in purchasing it to be used in some condominium project that is under development.
As an amateur photographer, I must admit that I am stunned, as this is the first time I have ever been made an offer to purchase one of my images. My images were pinned, liked, favorited, tweeted, commented upon, but I am into a whole new league here.
