Always up for a challenge, I accepted a request to photograph a model on Gracebay beach having never done something similar before. I guess there is always a "first".
Although I never advertised myself as a photographer, I was contacted by Justine who resides in New Jersey to shoot photos of her in swimwear when she visits the island.
The shoot was done on Gracebay beach in front of Club Med Turkoise on Sunday, February 28, just before sunset. By the end of the 1-hour shoot, I had pushed the camera's shutter button 820 times. The sunset that followed was phenomenal.
I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed the experience.
Turks and Caicos offers many spots where one can get away from it all and be at peace with the environment. Regardless of how many times I visit a particular spot, I rediscover the peace and tranquility that it offers. the Cooper Jack area in Providenciales is one such place. Here is what I rediscovered yesterday:
I sometimes have to remind myself that I am living on a beautiful island (Providenciales) where many people in temperate countries wish they were at times. The stroll I took along the Gracebay beach on Sunday not only tore me away from the computer screen, but provided me these wonderful views. Enjoy Turks and Caicos through my eyes:
I'm not sure if Turks and Caicos experiences what people in temperate countries call Spring, but these flowers certainly begs the question. Maybe I am not observant, but I've only caught a glimpse of these brilliant colours within the last few days.
Club Coconut is the newest restaurant and bar in Providenciales overlooking the airport. Its location is second only to any premises overlooking the water, as it offers a panoramic view of the airport and its environs to the South. Patrons of the restaurant who are avid aircraft lovers will especially be delighted with the views.
As part of their promotional campaign, I conducted a photo-shoot of the premises to be included in the print collateral. This post is not about the restaurant or it's location, but the model I was offered who absolutely loves the camera. I was equally delighted to shoot her. Enjoy the shots:
Island getaways are a particularly dreamy type of vacation experience. Whether it’s palm trees, soft sand, and a tropical breeze; village shops, lighthouses and cozy restaurants; or historic sights and cultural activities; you can be transported to a place that provides a truly unique escape.
The Turks and Caicos Islands, on any given day, offer wonderful opportunities to capture breath-taking shots of the natural environment. This was the case several years ago when I captured this shot in Leeward on the island of Providenciales.
